SAFETY MATTERS AT GOLD OAK SCHOOL!

Please take a moment to read our newsletter link; we have outlined several ways Gold Oak School works to keep our children safe.

Watch D.O.G.S

(Dads Of Great Students) ... is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. There are two primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program.

1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Please take a look at the school calendar below as well as the newsletter link for upcoming points of interest. It is informative as to which days are open and which to avoid; e.g. observed holidays and school breaks, etc. Just know that the moments you spend encouraging and supporting a positive atmosphere is as exciting to your students as any event.

Dads - if you signed up last year, no additional paperwork is required!  Just get on our calendar!! We look forward to seeing you soon!!

We have provided the ability for you to add the day(s) you would like to volunteer to our Watch D.O.G.S. calendar by going to this link:

Watch D.O.G.S.Volunteer Calendar                Please add:1) Your Name 2) Teacher's Name

Alternatively, you can e-mail the following to me: involvement date, your full name, your student's name, and their teacher's name, or sign up on the Watch D.O.G.S. calendar located in the hallway of the school office.

We are always looking for new members to join our group of D.O.G.S. please complete the Registration Form and return it to the school office, or fax it back to 530.626.3144. For more information contact the school office @ 530.626.3160, or Hanns Bergquist @ bergquist.hanns@gmail.com
